Dr. Jessica Shittu
Founder and Executive DirectorDr. Jessica Shittu is the Founder and Executive Director of We Can Build United. A Houston native and educational leader with more than 12 years of experience, Dr. Shittu holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston. Her career has been defined by a commitment to strengthening communities through connection, collaboration, and education.
She created We Can Build United to bring people and resources together in ways that help communities fulfill their potential and become places of hope and opportunity. She believes that when communities come together, build meaningful relationships, and share what they have, they become capable of creating a future that is big enough for everyone.
